Both the “NRA Home Firearm Safety” and “NRA Basic Pistol” classes allow students to apply for their License to Carry.
NRA Home Firearm Safety class.
The NRA Home Firearm Safety Course is the basic course we recommend to anyone unfamiliar with guns, or those interested in obtaining their Massachusetts LTC. In this 4 hour course students will receive the NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, pamphlets on safety and terminology and lessons on the rules of safe gun handling, identifying and unloading various firearms, ammunition, cleaning, and storage. Students will also get hands on experience with the most common types of handguns, rifles, and shotguns. Upon class completion, students will also learn about Massachusetts gun laws.
FEE: $85 PER STUDENT.
NRA Basic Pistol Shooting class. Due to covid, live fire has been suspended.
The Basic Pistol couse is a 8 hour course that includes LIVE FIRE! In this course students will receive the NRA’s Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook and intensive lessons in safety, gun handling, and the various types of pistols, the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship, several practical exercises on the firing line, and maintaining your firearms.
Upon class completion, students will also learn about Massachusetts gun laws.
Calibers include- .22 .38spl 9mm .45acp .357 magnum.
Live Fire FEE: $175 PER STUDENT.
